On Thursday, June 4 at 7:00 PM, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County will host its first LGBTQ+ Pride Literary Salon. I'll be reading, along with Chad Frame, Sean Hanrahan, and Nicole Steinberg. The event is free and open to the public, at Freeman Hall, 181 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. There's free parking in front of the building and on the street. If the weather's in our favor we may be on Freeman Hall's commodious front porch.

What will I be reading? Still dithering over that, but it will be a mix of poetry and fiction. I'd love to see you there!

My story, "Etiquette for Gentlemen," was published in the May issue of the online literary magazine, Does It Have Pockets?  All the text is lifted from a Victorian etiquette manual and reorganized. According to the magazine's announcement on Instagram, the story is "Absurdist? Maybe. One of a kind? Absolutely! Part erasure, part remix, all new #CNF from the brilliant @billhemmig." This past Monday I appeared for the second time on WDVR FM's "Let's Talk" program, and had much fun chatting with Andy Kin and his associates, mostly about my story, "Looking for Shad(enfreude)," with Lambertville's Shad Festival coming up this weekend, but also about the "Indie Bookstores of New Jersey" calendar and about writing in general. The recording of the interview will be available on WDVR's Archives page this week and next week.
